On Thursday 18th in November of 2010 we released our first post on this blog. It was a sneak preview of what was to come. Since then we haven't looked back, well only to see how awesome we are.
On Thursday 18th in November of 2010 we released our first post on this blog. It was a sneak preview of what was to come. Since then we haven't looked back, well only to see how awesome we are.
The idea for the show came from Dan Gonya and Todd Stephanuik hanging out at Dan's place, drinking and smoking in his garage and bullshiting about whatever. Thinking their conversations were so badass that other needed to hear them they decided to start a podcast. It took them a while to get the idea off the ground, just from laziness and thoughts of "its just a drunken dream, it'll never work." After mulling over it, when they would hang out, the idea just kept coming up.
Finally, serious talks of what they would need to do to make this dream become a reality started. Dan thought that contacting Josh Bielak to join the two would be a great idea. Hearing that people would actually want to hear him talk was incentive enough for Josh. Lucky for Dan and Josh, Todd had everything they needed for recording. With mixer, mics and a garage, Todd's house was the scene of the first ever recording session. It was our pilot "episode" and it was 2 hours long. We had a lot of kinks to work out. The quality of the recording was terrible, damn near unlistenable. The content was great, but the mics we recorded with needed to be replaced.
Todd stepped up and became our producer, coming up with money to fund the purchase of new mics as Josh set up the internet side of events. From our Facebook to Twitter, Podbean for hosting to Blogspot for posting. That first real week, we talked about our intro song, having a disclaimer, name for our show and a schedule for releasing episodes.
